The Larry H. Miller group has teamed up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to discourage drunk driving and to raise money for victims of drunk driving-related accidents this holiday season.
MADD Arizona director, Nick Ray, said Thanksgiving to Christmas is one of the most dangerous times of the year for car crashes. During Thanksgiving weekend last month, 372 DUI arrests were made in Arizona. Between Dec. 8 and Jan. 1, all 13 Larry H. Miller dealerships in Arizona will match customers' donations to MADD for up to $20,000 through the auto group's charitable arm. The company also will encourage customers to tie a red ribbon on their car to signify the car is being driven by a sober driver. The funds raised will go toward support of victims and survivors of drunk driving crashes.

"Responsible operation of a vehicle is essential and we're proud to support MADD in reminding drivers to make smart decisions during the holidays," said Dean Fitzpatrick, Larry H. Miller Dealerships president.

Larry H. Miller Charities has donated more than $500,000 to qualified organizations throughout Arizona, including the Phoenix Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, the Maricopa Pediatric Foundation, Special Olympics Arizona, the Peoria School District Foundation and Homeward Bound.
